Our mission is to expand the market and make the unlimited power of mushrooms available to everyone. In general, the knowledge and use of mushrooms is very limited, while the potential of the mushroom is enormous. Mushrooms are the answer to the need for health, taste and sustainability. The time has come to embrace its beauty.
Our way of working
We have the entire production process in our own hands and are therefore capable of "operational excellence". GMF controls the complete chain from production to delivery to the end consumer via the larger European retailers by means of innovative marketing concepts. For example, GMF has an interest in Hirano Mushrooms in Kosovo. Hirano Mushrooms is a pioneer in the production of Shiitake mushrooms in Europe based on Japanese technology. Due to its location in the center of Europe, Hirano mushrooms find their way to many European destinations in top condition.

History
GMF is a family business. It all started in 2002 with Sami Bahtiri, who had a huge love for fresh and new products and started 'Green Mushroom Farm'. Sami became passionate about mushrooms when he came into contact with exotic mushroom producers in South Korea. His ambition was to bring this new and unique product to the Netherlands. The Bahtiri brothers then founded a leading company and put the mushroom on the map.
Brothers Sami and Migjen Bahtiri grew up with a love for mushroom cultivation and use this knowledge to connect their nurseries in Kosovo, Germany, South Korea, England, Ukraine and the Netherlands with the ambitious organization at the headquarters in the Netherlands.
Their flight to the Netherlands in the 1990s gave them the strong perseverance that is the basis of the company's success.
Today, the ambitions, motivation and strength are shared throughout the organization.
