Cepes / Porcini

Porcini, also known as cepes or porcini, have a rich, nutty flavor and a firm bite. This rare mushroom grows in deciduous forests, often in the fall. They often grow near trees and are usually hidden under leaves. Porcini have a large, brown cap and a thick, white stem. Because they are difficult to find, they are considered a real delicacy.
